Cost Plus was where we went to buy our
madras bedspreads which we used to cover our walls and make into clothes.
I had a room that was like a tent with fabric on all the walls and
ceiling. This is also where we got out incense burners and little
boxes from India, all sorts of pretty things we used to decorate and
also beautiful jewelry from the around the world was to be found there.
And boy, did we love spangles and bangles. I also bought some furniture
there. Little tiled tables that I still have and the rattan chair
that hung from the ceiling.
I have just now remembered something else. I bought a multi pointed
sea shell lamp fixture at Cost Plus which I filled with colored Christmas
tree lights that blinked. What a beautiful lamp that was. Hmm? Wonder
what happened to it??
